ABOUT DAVID PRITCHETT

With over 30 years of training and speaking experience in the corporate world and educational systems, David brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the Leadership, Conflict Resolution, and Customer Service fields. He holds certifications in many training programs including Crucial Conversations, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and The Totally Responsible Person. He has taught and spoken to hundreds of companies about his proven Conflict CURVEball Method in resolving conflicts.
In his spare time, he umpires NCAA baseball games in the Atlantic Coast, Conference USA, and Big South Conferences. He has worked 15 Conference

Championships, and was selected to work the 2005 World Cup of Baseball in The Netherlands, and the 2011 and 2012 Division II NCAA National Championship. He is an instructor at various umpire camps in the southeast and serves on the board The Wounded Warrior Umpire Academy.

Taking inspiration from the Official Rules of Baseball, David examines the “Instructions to Umpires” section to provide practical Leadership Lessons and Applications in this unique talk.  Subjects include:

 

  • “Always be in position to see the play”-Where do we Lead from?

  • “Never try to make up for a missed call”-How do we handle mistakes?

  • “Keep your eye everlastingly on the ball”-What are we focused on?

David believes strongly in the power of delivering and receiving feedback(as opposed to Constructive Criticism).
